Q1 Is the program free?
Yes, all current features of NetSpeed Monitor are completely free. We plan to introduce a 'Pro' plan with extra features for power users in the future, but the core features will always remain free.
Q2 Is it compatible with Windows 11?
Yes, it works perfectly with Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit) versions and adapts to your system theme (Dark/Light mode).
Q3 Will it slow down my PC?
No. The program is optimized with Python and C++ infrastructure. It uses minimal system resources while running in the background.
Q4 Is my data safe?
Absolutely. The application only reads the amount of data (speed) passing through your network adapter. It never monitors, records, or sends the content of visited sites or downloaded files to servers.
Q5 How do I uninstall it?
If you installed via the .exe setup file, simply go to Windows Settings > Apps and uninstall NetSpeed Monitor. If you used the .zip version, just delete the folder — no registry modifications are made.
Q6 Does it work with VPN?
Yes. NetSpeed Monitor reads data from your active network adapter, so it works with VPN connections, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet simultaneously.
Q7 Can I use it on multiple monitors?
Yes. You can drag the speed widget to any monitor and it will remember its position across restarts. The Always-on-Top feature ensures it stays visible on your preferred screen.
